Matching bangles, khussas and a bit of glitter this Eid is all that we are looking forward to. Celebrating the success of Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr is all about spreading joy and applauding each other for successfully fasting. It is a tradition to dress up for the occasion and it best if you know exactly what you want. My Style Mantra has a whole collection that you can view and choose from and trust me – this is not going to be easy!
This year, the brands have gone all out to present the best of their aesthetic abilities to give us the ideal Eid collections. Lucky for us, we have an variety to choose from; material to designs, the liberty is all ours. Therefore, we would like to start with a look into names like Baroque Premium Lawn, Faraz Manan Eid Edition, Tena Durrani’s Luxury Lawn and Mina Hasan’s Embroidered Lawn. All these brands are focusing in on their lavish materials and expert art work on the traditional shalwar kamiz. With the trend of shalwars being brought back with a hint of change that we know as tulip shalwar, the industry has been giving us options one after another. Luckily, we are in the era where every fashion is acceptable; let it be a long or short shirt, a palazzo or a shalwar, plain or heavy suits, we can go for everything
Other names include Sana Safinaz Luxury Eid Collection, Bela, Zarqash, Sahiba, Kaseesh, Sobia Nazir & Swagat. Now with so many names, you will be thinking a lot of copying going around a limited set of options. Well, let us clear that right here, every brand has been giving their own personal touch to the collections and with the talent that is backing them up, we are in love.
Mina Hasan has decided to stick with a slim fitted trouser paired with knee length shirts and has a floral craze going around her brand this time around. Pairing it with the most beautiful duppatas, Mina Hasan is winning hearts when petal at a time. Similarly, the most stylish brand of all, Sana Safinaz gives an array of options. From bell bottoms to cropped pants, the designers have paired it with embroidered shirts that come in all sizes; loose and fitted. With a maze of paisleys drawn on most of the designs, Sana Safinaz has been successful in selecting a very mellow toned palette going in greys and colors.
On the other hand, Maria B has been all about the details this time around. From nets to pearls at the daaman, the designer has been all about cool and breezy colors for the summer edition of Eid. Giving the tulip shalwar a go, the designer has made sure that the dress was not only beautifully put together but appealing enough to get our hands on to it! With embroideries to die for, Maria B has hit this one out of the park.
Then comes in Kaseesh Prachi for the ones who love their dresses flowy and gorgeous. The A-line dresses have been given a new depth by adding either 3 colors or pairing a lehenga with it. Then come in our Eid collections featuring Bollywood celebrities who have followings that will mark these suits off the counter within moments. Keeping things traditional with the dresses, the Kessi collection features actress Karishma Kapoor rocking off long shirts within the darker palette tone. The shirts are paired with either decorated cuffed trousers or simple trousers with embellished sides. If you’re one of the people who would like to wear bell sleeves, this is the collection to take inspiration from. Next up, let’s talk of Fiono that is modelled by Aisha Takiya. To begin with, this has got to be one of the most traditional and formal collection one comes across. Paired with choori daar pajamas and long shirts, the dresses are simple and classy like one would imagine. With chiffon dupattas to go along with these dresses, the whole suit comes across as a very classy piece. The brand has done a fabulous job for keeping the tradition of the classic kamiz alive and we couldn’t praise them enough.
That being said, we are currently in a place where fashion is becoming more of a statement compared to a style. What you choose to wear will eventually be your trademark and who knows, you might have a follower or two. The industry of online bloggers has led us to believe that there are many people who know how to bring their own twist to a lot of things; from makeup to hair tutorials to out fits of the day. If you want to be a part of the change that you see every day, you need to get on that train that has all the leading names. Magazines and celebrities have always been inspirational for us but it is necessary to maintain your own style. Where the tulip shalwar is a hit, I personally don’t believe everyone can carry it off. Even if the fashion industry is pointing you to one direction, make your own rules as to what you want to follow. If you feel comfortable and look good rocking an outfit, go for it. Don’t let the society define what fashion is to you. You could be wearing a pair of high waist jeans and carrying a khussa with it for all anyone cares and you will make head turn none the less. Why? Because it is all about complimenting your physique when it comes to clothes.
Therefore, take inspiration from brands and designers for the maximum knowledge and build you own style when it comes to giving yourself the ideal Eid outfit. Even if you don’t like one collections suit, you could always pair a dupatta with another suit you like. Scroll through our Eid collection and dare to build your own creation. We have provided you with a list of Eid collections with our personal opinion on those but we will always stick to having your own style for everyone. So, what is your pick?
